十二世纪的英国诺丁汉郡，亚鲁恩男爵（江原正士 音）和夏佛多主教（島香裕 音）相互勾结，鱼肉乡民。一向以正直善良著称的汉帝克顿家族公开反抗他们的压迫，却惨遭灭门，最终只有少年罗伯特（伊倉一恵 音）和几个兄妹侥幸逃出。在此之后，汉帝克顿最后的血脉逃入夏伍德森林，并与盘踞在此的山贼葛雷多·约翰等人成为朋友。罗伯特拿着父亲的弓箭，以“罗宾汉”的名字与男爵和主教展开对抗。他们行侠仗义，劫富济贫，受到百姓们的爱戴，却也遭到权贵的憎恨。正邪双方你攻我伐，争斗不止。另一方面，被迫成为男爵人质的兰卡斯特家族的千金玛丽安也成为罗宾汉他们的一员，而她所佩戴的十字架似乎又隐藏着重大的秘密……                                                                    　　本片根据英国作家大仲马的小说改编，由NHK电视台制作，1990~1992年期间播出。
